It’s been rumoured for months, but now it’s confirmed that Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez are engaged to be married.

While a jeweler leaked the news in January, Martinez spoke about his upcoming marriage to the Oscar-winning actress at the grand opening of his South Beach restaurant Villa Azur.

When asked by Miami.com if the engagement claims were true, he replied, “Yes, of course it’s true!”

As for the confusion that arose at the beginning of the year, Olivier said that the Gurhan Jewelry falsely claimed to have crafted the couple’s rings, as he dished, “There is a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring and it’s a lie! They have nothing to do with this.”

Martinez added that the real ring designer was a jeweler from Paris named Robert Mazio, who’s a “real artist” who has created pieces for numerous French royals.
